In The Dog House offers affordable dog boarding, fun daily dog playcare, and grooming for our furry friends. A one time Application (one per dog) as well as a one time Agreement (one per family) must be completed for all dogs left in our care.
Doggy Day Care
To help prevent bloat, we ask that you please feed your dog at least one hour prior to arriving at ITDH. Dogs will have a two hour ‘rest-time’ during the afternoon, which allows them a break from the activity and lets them rejuvenate for the afternoon play session. Medications will be given as directed at no extra charge.

Dog Bathing
Our baths include a thorough washing, ear cleaning and anal glad expression. We give each dog a massaging conditioner treatment followed by hand blow drying to get loose hair out. We then brush your dog and finish with a spritz of perfume and a bow or bandanna! Nails can be cut or ground down if requested, this is an additional charge.
We grind nails with a Dremel, if a dog is fearful of the Dremel we can clip the nails by hand.

Dog Walking Service
Along with our overnight dog boarding and fun doggy day care services, In The Dog House also offers dog walking services in Charleston, SC, and surrounding areas. Sometimes, our busy schedules limit how often we can walk our dogs. Our experienced dog walkers can provide your pooch with the daily activity they need to maintain a healthy and happy life.
Not every dog is a candidate for doggie day care and we understand that! Some dogs are not up for all day play in a group of dogs, some dogs may be more ‘people’ dogs and they don’t really enjoy the company of other canines. Sometimes you just don’t have time to drop your dog off for playcare and pick him/her up at the end of the day. Dog walking is the solution!

Slumber Party Dog Boarding
Slumber party boarding is CAGE FREE boarding! Your dog will sleep with other dogs in our specially furnished room with an In The Dog House staff member present. Your dog will have free choice to sleep on a couch, and the staff member will spend the night right along with your dog for a totally PAWSOME boarding experience. A Kong for each dog is included in our slumber party boarding.

DOG BOARDING
For overnight guests, check out time is 12 pm. Dogs picked up after 12:00 noon will be charged a half day of day care ($14 Monday through Saturday and $12 on Sunday). Staying with us for 5 nights or more? Get a free bath! This excludes major holidays (Memorial Day, Labor Day, Easter, 4th of July, Christmas and Thanksgiving). Due to the sheer volume of baths, we regretfully have to charge for baths on major holidays unless your dog stays 10 nights or more.

Requirements
All dogs must be: at least 4 months old; flea/tick free and in good general health; dog and people friendly. Vaccines must be up to date (rabies, distemper and bordatella and canine influenza). Please email OR fax vaccine records to us at 843-884-5435.
We DO allow intact males and females on a CASE by CASE basis. Females must NOT be in heat. Males who are not neutered are more than welcome to come play as long as they pass the temperament test and do not hump/mount the other dogs excessively.
We do not discriminate against ANY BREEDS OR MIXES. Each dog is judged based on his or her individual personality and ability to play peacefully in a group — NOT based on their breed.
2-Hour Trial Period
All dogs coming in for overnight care are required to be left for a minimum of 2 hours for a trial period prior to your booked reservation; This trial period is at no charge to the owner but allows us to meet your pup and get to know their personality before you head out of town.
Food & Medication
ITDH will provide overnight Guests with breakfast and dinner in accordance with the owner’s instructions. In order to avoid upset stomachs, you are strongly advised to bring your own food from home. Please bring enough food for each meal your dog will be staying at ITDH plus an extra meal in case your pick up is delayed.
If ITDH provides food for your dog, it will be at a charge of $1 per meal. Dogs will not be fed lunch unless requested by the owner.
Medications will be given as directed at no extra charge.

Hours of Operation
Our center is open for our Canine Clients 365 days per year. However, our Lobby hours for drop off and pick up are as follows:
Monday to Friday: 7am-12pm & 2pm to 7pm
Saturday: 8am to 12pm and 2pm to 7pm
Sunday: 8am to 11am and 4pm to 7pm
Our Lobby is closed for drop off and pick up on Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
For overnight Guests, check out time is 11 am. Pickups made after the designated check out time will incur a half day playcare charge.
